Nikwax TX.Direct® Wash-In is a highly effective wash-in waterproofing solution designed for wet weather clothing, particularly garments with membranes such as GORE-TEX and eVENT, as well as synthetic-filled items. Here's a comprehensive guide on how to use it:

Usage Instructions:

1. Preparation:

   • Clean the garments thoroughly with Nikwax Tech Wash® in a separate wash cycle to remove all dirt and detergent buildup. There's no need to dry the garments before waterproofing.
   • Shake the bottle well before use to ensure proper mixing of the solution.

2. Machine Washing:

   • Remove all detergent buildup from the detergent dispenser.
   • Place a maximum of 2 clean garments in the washing machine.
   • Use 100ml per garment for front loaders or 150ml per garment for top loaders.
   • Run a 30°C synthetic cycle with a slow spin for front loaders or a 40°C synthetic cycle for top loaders.

3. Hand Washing (Alternative Method):

   • Immerse 1 clean garment in 6 liters of hand-hot water in a sink or bowl.
   • Add 50ml of TX.Direct® Wash-In.
   • Agitate to mix, then let it soak for 5-10 minutes before agitating thoroughly.
   • Rinse in cold water until the water runs clear.

Note:

• Avoid machine-washing garments if taped seams have become dislodged. Faulty taped seams can be re-stuck using a proprietary clear glue after waterproofing and drying.
• To maintain waterproofing, always wash garments with Nikwax Tech Wash® and avoid using detergents.
